thats why i say u too free. until that happens we shall see how it will end. what for u hype it all up here to provide fuel for the said 'road terrorist'?
u can try to imagine any remote scenario and try to prophesize on how things will develope, but until that happens, i dun see the relevance of it. all these speculations turns pale in the face of reality.

since i got some free time after work, just to revisit what TS have claimed, becos it buggs me how NTUC can be so dumb.... NTUC does have a statement which it would not pay, which is as follows: (plz check pdf provided by TS under 'conditions', which is the 6th page of the document labelled as 'page 5 of 10')
8. False or Exaggerated Claims
No payment will be made under this Policy if the claim is:
(a) in any respect fraudulent
(b) intentionally exaggerated
(c) supported by false declaration
(d) due to loss or damage intentionally caused by you or a person acting with your express or implied consent
(e) due to an act committed in violation of any law.

since he's sober and he is definitely intentional in speeding and consequently beating the traffic lights... and it is a violation of traffic rules, i think the last 2 will automatically void any claims. have a nice day.
"False or Exaggerated Claims"- thanks for pointing out the term 'false'- I think I missed this out thinking that the section was about staged accidents, my apologies for the hyperbole of terrorism used.

"until that happens we shall see how it will end"
Oki, maybe with coming tax increases and increasing motor insurance premiums no matter how clean is one's record, I'm getting anxious but I think that dis is one case that MUST NOT get away (the guy apparently has connections in China too). The administrator of his estate MUST NOT be allowed to move ANY of his cash or other assets out of Singapore and a sum necessary to compensate ALL the victims involved (including the hospital bills incurred by Ms Wu Wei Wei his passenger) MUST be frozen in lieu of possible counter claim by the local insurer involved (possibly NTUC since it the largest in SG rite?) and the public hospital where Ms Wu receive treatment as "Ms Wu was the sole survivor of the direct crash, but walked away with serious injuries, including head injuries and a fractured right leg" [A1news, 16May2012].

Neither Singapore insurers nor its public hospitals should pay for Ma Chi's criminally reckless mistake, with S$3.4M in physical assets and Chinese tabloids trumpeting "Ma Chi’s ‘accomplishments’ in life, describing him as a ‘savvy investor’ who amassed a huge amount of wealth in merely two years" [TT, 15May2012] Ma Chi's family must not return back to China and tell the world that their member turned Singapore into Daytona 'Express', caused a multi-vehicle, multi-fatality, massive road crash, and the people of Singapore willingly picked up the tab.
No matter how much the SG government prostitutes itself to foreign talents, no, we must not allow this to happen.

I understand that Ma Chi's victim, deceased taxi driver had, at point of his death, "Cheng Teck Hock, 52...monthly earnings of $1,700" ('Cabby who died a caring dad and uncle' [AsiaOne, 15May2012]). It would however be a travesty for his family to solely receive this sum of money pro-rated till the time of retirement of retirement of an average taxi driver as there are expectantly many intangible aspects that a family suffers consequent to loss of their father and sole bread winner: the love and mutual comfort that no one can ever replace. If Mr Cheng, like some drives as I u'stand fetches his kids to school whilst catching up with them, then perhaps taxi fare and the services of a counselor needs allocation. The inefficiency of a family without a proper fatherly figure and the emotional distress of the other family members need consideration as well in contrast to the obscenity and flippancy of the accident (Ma Chi Ferrari was traveling between 90 to 130kph ABOVE the speed limit of 50kph when the accident happened) to impress an apparently 'moonlighting-hostess' from a KTV nightclub [SBY, 15Jun2012]- punitive damages ought to be sought for the purpose of future healthcare insurance as well as and educational trust fund for Mr Cheng's 3 children, till they are gainfully and stably employed, as well as the services of a professional financial adviser to assist Mrs Cheng ought be sought. From time to time, free legal assistance by voluntary lawyers should also guide Mrs Cheng in the management of her affairs as she has most probably lost the love and guidance of her beloved other half. Mr Chengs children should also not be denied any university course where they academically qualify.

Please keep Singapore a democratic, progressive and law abiding nation, not a brothel or a gambling den specialized in serving only the so called 'materialistic' rich.

Just my 2c,
Rgds
