Termination fee after completion of telco contract ANTI-COMPETITIVE- no?

Termination fee after completion of telco contract ANTI-COMPETITIVE- no?

My Point
Termination fee not stated
I WAS recently told by M1 that even though I had completed my 24-month home broadband contract, I would still need to pay a termination fee if I wanted to end the service.
Why was the termination fee not made clear in the contract or on M1's website?
Can the telco or the Infocomm Development Authority explain why there is a need for such a fee?

The circumstances upon which selective GST exemption/ reduction ought to be shunned.

I agree with BicCherry that GST is collected once and not multiple times. The total cost to consumer is 7% as of now.
However "Tax on Tax" is not uncommon. There are many such examples in Singapore and it happens in other countries as well.
Tks for standing up for the fact/ truth.
Anyhow, as I'd previously mentioned, and using the photo of a Utility bill (Aug2012) as example, the final effect of the 30% water conservation tax (WCT) plus GST(7%) is a final WCT payable of 32.1% (i.e. 30% X 1.07= 32.1%). So there is no difference whether the 32.1% is derived as 32.1% (GST zero rated) or as 30% plus another 2.1% (GST) added- conceptually different but nominally the same amount payable eventually. A bit of mathematical acrobatics- that's all.

Writing the constitution in simple, clear, and unambiguous language is a skill that parliamentarians in Singapore ought aspire to assimilate.

Re Thread: Madam Vellama Marie Muthu and the health of democracy in Singapore.
it will be useless to bring this into parliament, since the incubents held majority seats, more than enuff to prevent changes to anything... but calling for a referendum or public vote 'might' help, even thou it's 60/40 to the pappies advantage in the last election.
Agreed tt it would be procedurally wrong for parliament to discuss the case once it had been presented by Mdm Vellama to the high court.

Squabble of the AGC like 2 battling MRT aunties?...

Actually, democracy is just a vehicle. Hopefully the people riding the vehicle vote wisely and with good foresight, otherwise, the vehicle will surely steer itself into the sea.
