Anyhow, me too agree that same sex marriage need NOT be legalized since nobody stops them cohabiting, all they do want is privileges and doing so means entering a slippery slope towards:
- Commodifies pregnancy as same sex couples are more likely to use $$$ to obtain children- IVF/ womb rentals (same sex couple will buy human embryos/ rent womb to have kids)
- The kid will grow up with 2 parents of same sex (may be prejudiced/ paranoid against the opposite sex/ have higher possibility of warped sexual identity consequent to such atypical upbringing).
- Stress on legal system should one member in same sex marriage now change and then allege that being gay is against nature and now demands a divorce on moral grounds/ a sudden change in sexual preference/ orientation.
- What happens if the same sex couple is really perverse and use a child that they adopt (same/ opposite sex) as a sexual toy/ slave? How can society bear blame for a child's life ruined?
- Strange situation occurring when a male demands maternity leave rights to take care of an infant child; scams against employer/ govt when BOTH parents take the 'maternity leave' since the male-female maternity responsibilities cannot be effectively determined.
- Immense cost burden to government solving these squabbles between same sex couples and they child rearing arrangements.
- Esp for Singapore with NS: men refusing to serve NS because they now claim to be performing the feminine/ maternal role in a gay marriage relationship (take maternity leave during reservist).
- Social mayhem as bisexual couples/ threesome LGBT demand three/ foursome marriage rights to satisfy their desire to have relationships with 2 other persons of each sex with special rights to large HDB flats to house their mega deviant activity.
-How about a man getting married to his dog so the 2 could buy a HDB flat?
And then drug addicts too will join the fray and say that based upon their fix preferences, they too should have the right of marriage to their drug of choice, needles for injection, subsidised dope etc (marriage to drugs/ needles) which the govt should allow since it is now allowing LGBT so many privileges/ subsidies of a typical family that they too should be entitled to be married to their favorite drug for life... and then the list goes on.
Guess Singaporeans/ ppl of this world must quickly decide the limits of morality and I feel no less that mainstream religions have much to teach and say about that- all we need is proper scholarship and NOT brands of interpretation like Nazi, al Qaeda etc who cherry pick verses from Holy books to suite their political ambitions.
