'Mormons' vs. 'Mammon': different words altogether.

Re: ST: North Korea's Kim Jong Il dies: State TV
and??
look I am not disagreeing with your points....
the POINT IS, that picture is not even credited as REAL in the first place... (afaik)
you are free to call him anything you want.
The BBC never did what you did and they have never been kind in their assessment of him... you are not discrediting him, you are discrediting yourself. I rather you post a caricature which can be far more illustrative than that...
it is not the way you present Kim that is offensive, I find the picture offensive. You might as well say that he is a worshipper of Marmon!!
Wouldnt your comment offend worshipper of Marmon?
Please retract your religiously insensitive comment.
Hi ppl, I think C81 has got his religious facts all tangled up and that's the problem here.
'Mormons' is one thing, 'Mammon' is another.

The Mormons [wiki] are a religious and cultural group related to Mormonism, a religion started by Joseph Smith during the American Second Great Awakening. A vast majority of Mormons are members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church) while a minority are members of other independent churches. Many Mormons are also either independent or non-practicing. The center of Mormon cultural influence is in Utah, and North America has more Mormons than any other continent, though the majority of Mormons live outside the United States.

Mammon [wiki] is a term, derived from the Christian Bible, used to describe material wealth or greed, most often personified as a deity, and sometimes included in the seven princes of Hell.

Whilst Mormonism might be accepted as a religious movement, there shouldn't be any question that Mammon is a defined demon, if not otherwise an immoral and immodest pursuit.

To avoid confusion, I have not ventured to comment about the faith preferences of Kim Jong Il though needless to say, I believe his lifestyle to be most unbalanced and unhealthy and this is what the first photo, real or otherwise, is intended to portray.

FYI, I do not mind discrediting myself insofar as the picture portrayed proves a valid point.

Thank you for your comments as I seek your kind understanding in the matter of the foremost photo used.

"So oft in theologic wars,
The disputants, I ween,
Rail on in utter ignorance
Of what each other mean,
And prate about an Elephant
Not one of them has seen!"
