Youth seeking ?'unlicensed' donations assault man who question their authority.
Perhaps like in Greece and many other European countries where spending on effective education is low (due to debt crisis), Singaporean youth also have not developed deep purpose in life and would rather participate in illegal get rich quick schemes (illegal fund raising with high commission/90% commission like illegal / porn VCD selling).

[Healthcare] Joo Chiat residents urgently need a reverse mortgage finance facility.
Me thinks that this is the best solution to balance healthcare costs for elderlies with the stratospheric property prices in Singapore. Singaporeans, led by Mah Bow Tan, have been worshiping the god of high property prices for far too long, so why not ask this god for some dividends in return rather than starting a medishield ponzi scheme that ask the young (with enough problems affording proper housing) to sponsor medical bills for rich elderlies?

Re thread: ' One-off public transport voucher 'worth too little'' Applying for it a hassle, so poor go elsewhere for aid, say MPs, help agencies http://www.straitstimes.com/breaking...ittle-20131115 The lukewarm response to the one-off vouchers that are meant to help the poor cope with fare hikes could be due to the amount offered and hassle in applying for them, MPs and help agencies told The Straits Times. In Parliament on Monday, it was revealed that just over half of the 200,000 public transport vouchers available for needy residents to offset the fare increase in 2011 were taken up. |
IMF tells Singapore government to steal less money from ordinary citizens.
Basics:
- Every country govt prints money, its just a matter of more or less. All things being equal (productivity and consumption of each country being balanced, exchange rates should be constant if ALL countries print $$$ at the same rate.
- Though not commonly mentioned, such printing of $$$ is actually some form oftheft since more circulating dollars means less buying power per dollar- an erosion of the hard earned savings of the average man.
- Chief printers of $$$ in this world are USA, China and Japan, everyone follows, that is why the M1 money supply (and other wider measures of $ (M2, M3 etc) is increasing annually too).

Termination fee after completion of telco contract ANTI-COMPETITIVE- no?
Termination fee after completion of telco contract ANTI-COMPETITIVE- no?
Quote:
The Straits Times, Published on Nov 07, 2013 My Point Termination fee not stated I WAS recently told by M1 that even though I had completed my 24-month home broadband contract, I would still need to pay a termination fee if I wanted to end the service. Why was the termination fee not made clear in the contract or on M1's website? Can the telco or the Infocomm Development Authority explain why there is a need for such a fee?
